Christopher Bowman

Best Known as: former United States figure skating champion

A two-time United States figure skating champion known for his charismatic and athletic performances. He was a former child actor in “Little House on the Prairie” and his flair on the ice earned him the nickname Bowman the Showman. Bowman won a silver medal at the 1989 World Championships and a bronze in 1990, finished seventh at the Calgary Olympics in 1988, and fourth at the Albertville Olympics in 1992. Though he struggled with a drug problem for many years, including a serious cocaine addiction, Bowman took pride in his skating and was dedicated to the sport.
