William Demarest

Birthplace: St. Paul, Minnesota

Brash, comedic supporting actor from vaudeville, film and television, he appeared in more than 100 films from 1926 through 1975. He was featured prominently in Preston Sturges comedies such as Sullivan's Travels (1941), Hail the Conquering Hero and The Miracle of Morgan's Creek (both 1944). He replaced William Frawley on the series My Three Sons (1965–72).
