Vicente Fox Quesada,

Mexican politician, was elected president in July, ending 71 years of rule by the Institutional Revolutionary Party. Fox, a candidate of the conservative National Action Party, is a former Coca-Cola executive who was elected governor of Guanajuato in 1995. When Fox takes office on Dec. 1, it will be the first democratic transition of power in Mexico's history.
