Lawrence Sanders

Sanders spent 20 years in journalism before turning to writing crime and suspense fiction. He wrote his first thriller, The Anderson Tapes (1970), at age 50, and it won the Edgar Award for best first novel. All told, he published 38 novels, selling more than 58 million copies in the United States alone. His stories are known for interlacing a crime story with high-tech sophistication and a generous helping of sex.
