Poemsby Emily Dickinson

Forgotten
The Master

XI

I've got an arrow here;
  Loving the hand that sent it,

Fell, they will say, in 'skirmish'!
  Vanquished, my soul will know,
By but a simple arrow
  Sped by an archer's bow.
